Claudia Pearce and Gloria Pearce made their first appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 on Two Count Charges to wit sharing an intimate image without consent Contrary to Section 48(1)(a) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act of 2021 Act of No. 7 of 2021
Particular of offence that Claudia Pearce and Gloria Pearce, sometimes in April 2025 at No. 5 Malta Street Kossoh Town Freetown, in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone shared an intimate image or videos material of a depicted person (Mamidi Mansaray) without the consent of the depicted person, whether or not, the internet is to shame, humiliate, frighten or cause the depicted person harm.
On count two posting sexually explicit image without consent contrary to Section 48(1)(e) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021 Act No. 7 of 2021.
Particular of offence that Claudia Pearce sometimes in April 2025, at No 5. Malta Street Kossoh Town Freetown Judicial District in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone disseminated or posted sexually explicit video image materials without the consent of the depicted person whether or not, the intent is to shame, humiliate, frighten or cause the depicted person harm.
The victim was led in evidence by police Sergeant 9939 Lahai M.
Defense counsel representing the accused persons applied for bail on their behalf but was refused due to the seriousness of the matter.
Magistrate Jah sent both accused persons on remand and the matter was adjourned to Friday 27th June 2025 for further hearing.
