Masoner To Serve Two Years Imprisonment For Iron Rod Theft

Morris Lamin a masoner made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on one count of Larceny contrary to the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 17th June 2024 at 29A Beach Road Lumley in the Western Area of Freetown, Morris Lamin did steal two and half-length iron rods valued at Three Hundred and Seventy-Five Leones (NLe375) property of Mustapha Janneh.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded without a legal counsel.
Sergeant 8811, Florence M. Wilson told the bench that there are no available records against the accused person.
The accused person pleaded with mercy on his behalf.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, he did not waste the court’s time, Magistrate Bangura sentenced the accused to two years imprisonment to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.
