Man Sent To Three Years Jail For NLe25

Musa Kambia has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 for obtaining money by false pretenses, contrary to Section 32(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
Musa Kambia was arrested and brought before the court on 19th April 2025 after being charged by Sergeant 8975 Bangura I.S for obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charges, on Saturday 11th April 2025 at Pademba Road, Freetown in the Western Area of Republic of Sierra Leone, with intent to defraud, the accused obtained the sum of Twenty Five Leones (NLe 25) from Christian Alphaso Gilo Blake by falsely pretending that he knows the whereabouts of his missing son Charles Blake knowing the same to be false.
During his ruling, Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah noted that they have enough evidence against the accused person after hearing from some witnesses, all of whom were cross-examined by the bench.
After the submissions, Mustapha Braima Jah ruled that there was sufficient evidence against the accused person and that he must be jailed for his crime.
The accused person was Sentenced to three years imprisonment at the Male Correctional Facility Centre in Freetown.
