Gento Group Signs Land Lease Agreement For Tonkolili North

On Wednesday 4th June 2025, the people of Bendugu Town, Sambaia Chiefdom in Tonkolili District welcome their Paramount Chief Member of Parliament Alhaji Musa Bamba Foray Kulio Jalloh III and popular businessman and philanthropist Mohamed Gento Kamara in their district.
Chairman of the event Hon. Jawa Sesay expressed happiness about the existing peace and unity in the chiefdom noting that it is a blessed day for the chiefdom.
He maintained that they are happy to have a Karanko native representing Tonkolili District as a Member of Parliament for the very first time adding that the MP is a development-oriented person.
He introduced Mohamed Gento Kamara to the native and applauded him for his performance on various road projects in the country and emphasized that as what localization is all about. He also lauded Gento Kamara for his kind gesture to the people in time of need.
Paramount Chief Alhaji Musa Bamba Foray Kulio Jalloh III acknowledged that through President Bio and Mohamed Gento Kamara, the people of Sambaia Chiefdom have been seeing the light and disclosed that when they signed a lease agreement with Kingho Mining, they saw nothing.
That they have not realized anything from the company despite the promises made and that the company promised to give them jobs through their security company which did not happen.
“With Gento Group we are happy to have a surface lease agreement payment. Kasafoni Land belongs to the Sambaia Chiefdom people. We have consulted with our ancestors to know whether Gento Kamara will benefit us or not. We received a positive nodding from our ancestors,” he revealed.
He intimated that President Julius Maada Bio should know that Mohamed Gento Kamara is the solution to their problems adding that Gento Kamara is their Sierra Leonean brother and local investor and therefore endorsed him for the development of Sierra Leone.
“Any License issue that has to do with Kasafoni Land the people of Sambaia Chiefdom approve Gento Group as the rightful investor in the land. Gento Kamara will not disappoint them, a man of his words and somebody that will not disappoint them. Gento Kamara is ready to do their roads,” he stated.
He maintained that President Bio has made it clear that the government will not issue any mining license to any investor without a land lease agreement with the local people.
He said that they are not ready to work with any other investor except Gento Kamara and disclosed that the three Chiefdoms and Members of Parliament have already signed the land lease agreement with Gento Group to operate and invest in the Kasafoni Land, which is in the north of Tonkolili District.
