Chief Kadiru Kaikai Shows Gratitude To Western Region Tribal Heads  …For Supporting President Bio’s Agenda

Chief Abdul Kadiru KaiKai has showed gratitude to Western Region Tribal Heads for supporting President Julius Maada Bio’s developmental agenda on Saturday evening 23rd August 2025 at his Spur Loop residence in Freetown.
Chief Kadiru KaiKai particularly commended the galaxy of Tribal Heads for the immense courage they took to condemn violence during the August 10th 2022 insurrection and the November 26th 2023 failed Coup attempt.
Kadiru Kaikai said Tribal Heads occupy strategic positions in society that is very crucial in the governance of Sierra Leone, and went further to expressing interest in working with the Council of Tribal Heads to implementing President Bio`s developmental agenda for the next three years.
Chief KaiKai thanked President Bio for ensuring and presiding over a peaceful atmosphere because as he noted “without peace there will be no development”.
Chief Kadiru Kaikai appreciated the guidance role of the Tribal Heads in the governance structure of Sierra Leone, as according to him, without the direction of elders who play parental roles in the lives of people “We will hit the block”.
Chief S.O Mbeki, the President of the Western Region Council of Elders who also doubles as the Kono Tribal Head expressed delight in bringing the team of Tribal heads to engage with Chief Kadiru Kaikai on developmental issues that can impact the lives of each and every Sierra Leonean.
He gives a unique opportunity to Chief Abdul Kadiru KaiKai to harness the rich experience of the Council of Tribal heads who can boast of members that have served during the periods of Late Former President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah, Ernest Bai Koroma and the current President Julius Maada Bio.
Chief Mohamed Sajor Jalloh, the Fullah Tribal Head expressed gratefulness to Chief Kadiru KaiKai for the importance and reverence he attaches to Tribal Heads by playing host to them before and in the aftermath of the 2023 general elections.
Chief Jalloh reveals that their importance in society should not be under-estimated as the tribal folks that they represent in the Western Region are far larger than the population of some tribes in Chiefdoms and Districts in the Provincial areas.
He acclaimed President Bio`s developmental Agenda that NOT only focuses on what happens TODAY but what happens in the FUTURE and went further in thanking him for providing a peaceful atmosphere for all and sundry to go about their normal business.
“The price of a bag of rice was above Nle 1,000.00 but the peoples oriented government of President Bio has kept the price to about Nle 700.00”, Mohamed Sajor Jalloh the Fullah Tribal Head, pointed out.
Chief Matthew Younge, the Mende Tribal Head recounted the instrumental role they played in forestalling the November 26th 2023 attempted Coup, by engaging their tribal populations in different local languages and in the Basic Lingua Franca which is Krio.
Chief Younge indicated that the Western Region is the hotspot when it comes to the governance of Sierra Leone, as according to him, “If a fire is put out in Freetown it can be prevented to spread in the Provinces”.
