CCTV Surveillance Breached At Bo District Medical Store …Under The Watch Of PTN Security Company
Reports reaching the New Age indicate that there was a serious security breach at the Bo District Medical Store on the early hours of 31st July 2025.
In a correspondence written by the District Medical Officer (DMO) Bo Dr. Ngegbai to the Director of Pharmaceutical Services Ministry of Health Dr. Henry E.C. Carter, the DMO maintained that the incident involves the deliberate obstruction of the CCTV surveillance system and removal of external lighting by individuals assigned to secure the facility.
That the CCTV footage revealed two individuals, presumed to be security personnel or their associates, deliberately covering the surveillance cameras and removing lighting to obscure visibility.
And that preliminary inspection of the premises revealed no evidence of forced entry or immediate signs of missing inventory.
That a full physical inventory of health commodities is currently ongoing to verify the status of all supplies.
“The security company currently contracted to provide coverage for the site is PTN Security,” Dr. Ngegbai stated.
That the situation is of serious concern as it undermines the integrity of the health commodity supply chain and poses a serious risk to public health assurance.
In his response to the correspondence, Dr. Carter acknowledged the incident is very serious particularly the deliberate tampering with surveillance equipment and external lighting by individuals assigned to safeguard the premises noting that the breach is deeply troubling and warrants immediate corrective measures.
He further noted that the Chief Executive Officer of PTN Security Company has been officially contacted and provided with evidence. And that he committed to thoroughly investigate the matter.
When reached out to by the New Age, both Dr. Carter and the Chief Executive Officer of PTN Security Company, Ponsford Nimneh responded that they cannot comment as the matter is being investigated.
