Accused Granted NLe100,000 Bail

Mohamed Kamara has been granted NLe100,000 bail, on a count of larceny – contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
He made another appearance before Magistrate Adama Kandeh of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 4 in Freetown.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, on the 7th of August 2025, at No. 10 Second Street New England Ville Freetown, stole Ninety blocks – each valued Thirty Leones (NLe30) total of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Leones (NLe2,700), two pistons each valued Five Hundred Leones (NLe500) total of One Thousand Leones (NLe1,000), one carpet valued Three Hundred Leones (NLe300), one bearing valued Four Hundred Leones (NLe400) all to the total of Four Thousand Four Hundred Leones (NLe4,400) properties of Mohamed Kantay.
The matter was prosecuted by A. I Bangura.
Dispensing justice, Magistrate Kandeh granted bail to the accused in the sum of NLe100,000.
And ordered that the accused should provide the court with two sureties, and each of the sureties must produce the recent NCRA card, and must be a worker residing within this jurisdiction.
The bail should be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.
The matter was adjourned to 17th October 2025.
