On Concerns of Abuse of Office, Conflict of Interest & Others Against the TEC Chairman… Minister of Technical and Higher Education Needs to Come Out Clean

Despite several efforts that have been made by the New Age to speak to the Minister of Technical and Higher Education Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie on the wake of allegations of abuse of office, conflict of interest, intimidation among others by staff members of the Commission against the Chairman of the Commission Professor Aliyageen Mohamed Alghali, the Minister has deliberately refused to speak to the New Age.
In a letter written to the minister, staff members of the Commission highlighted all of their genuine concerns noting that they no longer wish to work with the Chairman and that these concerns are also in best interest of the Tertiary Education Commission as in institution.
Denying knowledge of the accusations, the Chairman referred New Age to speak to the Ministry or the General Commission but the Minister failed to respond to the New Age on the issues raised by the staff.
The New Age was reliably informed that the Minister said that she has been bombarded with calls and text messages by the media, but that she is unbothered.
The New Age is also reliably informed that asides the concerns that have been made known by staff members, there are other serious allegations against the Chairman for which there are evidence to the effect.
In the midst of these concerns, eyes and ears are on the Minister awaiting her decision, as it is believed that she shares affiliation with the Chairman who was a friend to her late father.
