Securiport which is the biggest security company in the world has donated over One Thousand face masks and hat to the National Covid-19 Emergency Response Centre (NACOVERC).
Making the donation, the General Manager of Securiport, Jurgen Deschamps stated that they have been operating in Sierra Leone for some time now and therefore the donation is a way of showing their gratitude to the country during this pandemic.
That they are giving the over One Thousand (1000) face masks and hat in order to ensure that frontline workers are protected in the fight against the epidemic.
Deschamps assured that they will like to do more if possible, noting that they have the tools to mitigate such pandemic.
He added that should such pandemic emerge again; they would provide better means of mitigation to prevent the closing of borders or cancelling of flights.
He expressed hope that their relationship with the government will continue for better collaboration.
Speaking on behalf of National Coordinator of NACOVERC, Major General Retired Taluva thanked Securiport for the gesture.
He noted that despite the constraints being faced by the world, considering the fact that most borders are closed and restrictions on the movement of flights that Securiport surmounts the challenges to support Sierra Leone during this try times.
He stated that the donation is timely, given the fact that they are now on active search of cases and very much engaged in lot of prevention and control.
