Investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden shows Former President Ernest Bai Koroma’s picture frame among other things taken as evidence by the CID.
After the search on Sylvia Blyden’s residence which lasted for about Two (2) hours, the Head of Operations at the CID, Superintendent MK Alieu stated that the picture frame of former President Koroma is one of the exhibit they found at Sylvia’s residence.
The picture frame taken as evidence by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been considered my many right thinking Sierra Leoneans as one which is not only out of place but also a shameful move by the CID.
That forms, documents, laptops and phones retrieved from the house of Dr. Blyden are pertinent pto the detention of Retired Major Alfred Palo Conteh and other former ministers.
He maintained that Bylden will have to tell them who the person is and which president he is.
Dr. Blyden was few days ago arrested by police on allegations of incitement and subversion for which the police is currently investigating her person.
Superintendent Aliue stated that Sylvia Blyden has been very hostile with them by making plenty of unnecessary complaints.
He further maintained that Dr. Blyden complained not feeling well and they had to prepare a medical report for her to be attended to at the Police Medical Hospital, but that she refused.
That Dr. Blyden refused on the basis that the hospital is prone to the Corona Virus pandemic, adding that she was also asked to call her doctor which she also declined.
That they asked to be accompanied by Sylvia to her premise in order to conduct the search which was turned down by Sylvia.
He noted that they were instructed by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Mr. JK Alpha to contact independent bodies which include the media in order to carry out the search.
