Securiport Manager Jurgen Descamps making the Donation

The General Manager of Securiport, Jurgen R. T Decamps has donated 30,000 Covid-19 testing equipment to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation on the 10th December at their conference room of the Ministry of Health, Youyi Building in Freetown.

Descamps made this noble donation in the presence of the Honourable Deputy Minister of Health 1, Anthony A Sandy, the Permanent Secretary, Morrie Momoh, Chief Medical Officer among other officials of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.                               

Handing Over the effective Covid-19 testing kits to the Deputy Minister of Health, he explained that he took over as General Manager of Securiport in 2015, noting that Securiport has been operating in Sierra Leone since 2012.

He disclosed that he is gratified making the donation to government through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and revealed that the donation of the testing kits shows that the working relationship between Sierra Leone and Securiport over the last eight years has been very cordial.

He affirmed that the technology and data which Securiport is providing is very important in this current situation of the country.

He assured the ministry that they are bringing technology that will stop people who are exposed to virus from the entering the country and people who may pose security threat the wellbeing of the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Morrie Momoh expressed gratitude to all members in the conference room especially Securiport for their presence.

He confirmed that they have been able to get in touch with Securiport who has been strategic in helping the ministry by supporting government in the implementation of their programs.

He admitted that surveillance and disease control and prevention programs is a very important elements in the fight against Covid-19 for which Securiport has presently signed a contract agreement with government through the Ministry of Finance and Health in order to make sure that they trace and track Sierra Leone’s epidemic data system.

He concluded that Securiport has started implementing some of the contract by installing some systems at our airport and border.
