Report reaching SALONE TIMES revealed that the Michaels Family in Sierra Leone has donated Le100M to the fight against COVID 19 in Sierra Leone.
The report states that the money was transferred directly into the special COVID-19 Account created by the Government of Sierra Leone.
“The fight against COVID cannot be left to Government alone. We must all as individual families and businesses come together to fight this dreadful virus,” Martin Michael, Managing Director Mercury International stated on behalf of the Michael Family.
Adding that; “As a family, the Michaels believe that we are duty bound to be at the front of the fight and we have made this token donation as a sign of our solidarity with the people of Sierra Leone in this war which we can and will win.”
This is not the first time the family has been making such donations to Sierra Leone.
On Saturday 19th August 2017, the family donated 37 bales of used clothing and five hundred bundles of water with toiletries to those affected by the mudslide and flooding at Regent and Kaningo communities.
