Francis Kaikai, a ten (10) years U.S Army Veteran, has complained the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) MP for Constituency 128, Honourable Benjamin Turay.

This complaint came in the wake of controversies for a 1-acre piece and parcel of land situated at Baw-Baw Off Peninsular Road in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Francis KaiKai, in a letter addressed to the political officers of the United States Embassy in Freetown, which had leaked to the New Age, expressed dismay over what he described as an abuse of office.

He confirmed that the matter is currently being investigated by the Sierra Leone police at Lumley Anti-land Grabbing Division by presiding Officer, James Kanu and being supervised by Inspector Boima.

In a very solemn tone, KaiKai revealed that he had served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, revealing “I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mental health, depression, anxiety, panic attack among others; which makes me entitled to 90% service-connected disability.’’

KaiKai explained that the land in question was conveyed to him by Gibrilla Kargbo (now deceased) and Alex Bangura   on the 27th December, 2017 by the virtue of a conveyance duly registered as 3196/2017 recorded in volume 802 page 103 in the books of conveyances kept in the Office of the Administrator and Registrar- General Freetown.

Hon Benjamin Turay is reported to have claimed to be the owner of the aforesaid piece of land at Baw-Baw village “without any authentic documentation.’’

Efforts made to reach Hon. Benjamin Turay proved fruitless.
