Just as the government is trying to solve the elongated problems in the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), reports about over 200 Million Leone that was dished out to regional chairmen has surfaced again.
The reports revealed that Isha Johansen president of the SLFA summoned a meeting of executive members at the FA’s headquarter in which cheques to the tune of over Le200M was dished out some regional chairmen.
That before the meeting, the Chairman of the Southern Region Kofi Deen Nyakoh was asked out, for chairing a football congress in Bo without the consent of the FA.
The Acting chairman of Western Area Pastor Buck was also asked to produce the statement of account for the last amount they received from the FA.
Beside the two, the report claimed that Hon. Francis Konuwa received Le90M on behalf of Eastern Region to organize division 1&2 leagues in the region and an amount above Le90M was issued out to Brima Jalloh for the Northern Region.
This meeting came after the membership of the FA organized a meeting in Bo in which they came up with 9 points resolutions which they have also presented to the government through the ministry of sports.
Amongst other things, the FA membership agreed that they do not recognized the five elected executive officers of Isha Johansen led executive, that the properties of the FA be handed over to the Directorate of the Sports Ministry on or before Friday 2nd August 2018 and that the Bank accounts of the FA should be suspended with immediate effects.
