As a way of relieving the people of Mile 71, Yoni Mamayla Chiefdom of their hue and cry of neglect over the years, the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Orman Bangura has given his word to construct a secondary school in the chiefdom.
The Minister told the people that he will ensure that the school is built this academic year and assured that the construction will start soon.
That the people expressed dissatisfaction that the past government abandoned their Highway Community School during their reign.
They expressed hope that the already dilapidated and fallen structure will soon come back to a perfect state under the philanthropist gesture of the Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs who has assured them.
They also pointed out that the politics of deceit is over as they are now set and ready to follow politicians who are result oriented, and that they will never allow to be used by any politician for personal gains.
The Minister called on the people to be united and committed to the course of unity and national cohesion and warned that anyone that will try to undermine the peace of the chiefdom will face the full wrath of the law.
That the people from the surrounding communities who witnessed the occasion pledged their commitment to now support the SLPP New Direction Government, as they consider the move made by the Minister as one that relieved them from their over 11 years of Suffering for a School that is neglected by a party they were so loyal to.
“I don’t want to be better alone, but to be better together with my people, the Czar said in his final statement,” Minister Orman affirmed.
He asked for a team from the Community to follow him to Freetown in order for the work to start immediately.
