Spokesperson for Alhaji Musa Tarawallie, politician cum businessman has disputed rumours making rounds that Alhaji Musa Tarawally was part of the Presidential Delegation to China
“Mr Tarawally is an official of a private delegate for the conference; he is not part of government delegation. Since 2015, he has been a private businessman and philanthropist,” Bockarie Ensah maintains.
That Musa Tarawally was invited as finance and infrastructure consultancy because of his strong business relationship with not only China, but also United States of America (USA), Russia, London etc.
It is also very clear that there is no ban on former government ministers, only that they should seek clearance from the authorities before travelling as some of them who are jittery are already on the run.
Besides, there is nowhere in the Government Transition Team Report (GTTR) where the name of Alhaji Musa Tarawally is mentioned even though he served in the former Government as Minister.
A spokesperson of the government, Abubakarr Joe Sesay has also confirmed that Musa Tarawally is not part of the government delegation to China for the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation.
He however said that Musa Tarawally is a businessman with friends across the globe and that if he decides to help the government to bring investors, he will be accommodated.
