DON’T USE ABUSIVE LANGUAGE AGAINST OTHER ASPIRANTS …Dr Bangura Tells Constituency Leaders From Kono, Kenema and Kailahun

Flagbearer Aspirant of the All People Congress who is also Leader of the DIB Movement, Dr Ibrahim Bangura has cautioned his supporters to be decent and not to use abusive language against other aspirants, urging them to focus on the vision.
He made this statement in an engagement with ward and constituency chairpersons from the Eastern Region districts of Kono, Kenema and Kailahun, calling on them to prioritize unity, vision, and sustainability over money and sentiment as the APC prepares for the 2028 general elections.
“Shun Abusive language against other aspirants and to campaign with vision. Don’t use abusive language against other aspirants. Let us campaign with vision for a better change,” he reiterated.
He thanked the chairmen for the role they played during the just concluded APC internal elections, describing their work as critical to the party’s grassroots structure.
“Even though we have made successes, you should have one thing in mind,” Dr. Bangura said. “Don’t choose due to sentiment or money, but build something that is sustainable for the future of your children.”
He noted that the state has become disconnected from the lives of young people and urged constituency leadership to focus on rebuilding that connection from the ground up, maintaining that DIB Movement campaign is anchored on a different approach to politics.
“Our campaign is different,” he stated. “Let us work with the APC party for a better change come 2028. My ambition is to let the APC party take power in 2028. And if we really need change we must unite ourselves.”
The leadership of Kailahun, Kono, and Kenema thanked Dr. Bangura for his unwavering support to the districts and to the party structures, assuring him of their commitment to the party and to his aspiration.
“We will never sell the vote because of money,” one chairman stated. “We want to tell you that you are the next president come 2028. We will support you because you have a message on how we all will work to transform this nation.”
The chairmen further disclosed that several other aspirants have approached them with money, but they remain committed to principle over financial inducement.
The engagement signals the DIB Movement’s strategy of consolidating the party’s base in the East through direct engagement with grassroots leadership.
By emphasizing “building the blocks in the right way,” Dr. Bangura is positioning his campaign around three pillars: internal party unity, issue-based campaigning, and long-term sustainability rather than short-term gains.
With 2028 approaching, the focus on constituencies and wards reflects an understanding that elections are won at the grassroots. The rejection of money politics by the chairmen also suggests a shift in how some party structures intend to conduct future elections.
For the APC, the message from the East is clear: the party needs discipline, unity, and a campaign focused on transformation if it is to return to power.
