The Chief Operating Officer of the Call to Business Bank (ACTB), Mr. Idrissa Alie Sesay, has officially launched the second edition of the bank’s “Save and Win” Promotion, describing it as a bigger and more rewarding initiative aimed at encouraging a stronger culture of saving among Sierra Leoneans.
The promotion, which runs from July 2026 to January 2027, follows the remarkable success of ACTB’s inaugural Save and Win campaign and the subsequent Ramadan Save and Win Promotion, both of which attracted significant customer participation across the country.
Speaking during the launch ceremony, Mr. Sesay said the overwhelming response to the first edition inspired the bank to introduce a more attractive second season with enhanced prizes and greater opportunities for customers.
“This edition is bigger than the previous one. The response from Sierra Leoneans has been overwhelming, and it has encouraged us to continue investing in initiatives that reward our loyal customers while promoting financial inclusion,” he said.
He noted that ACTB remains committed to creating opportunities for customers to grow their savings, improve their financial wellbeing and expand their businesses through responsible banking.
According to Mr. Sesay, one of the bank’s key objectives is to promote a savings culture in Sierra Leone, stressing that many people still do not appreciate the importance of saving regularly.
“We want to cultivate the culture of saving in Sierra Leone because many of our people do not believe in saving. Saving is essential for financial security and future investment,” he stated.
He disclosed that ACTB has been serving customers since 2006 and has consistently introduced innovative banking products designed to improve customer experience and financial empowerment.
Mr. Sesay encouraged both existing and prospective customers to remain committed to banking with ACTB, noting that consistent saving not only strengthens personal financial discipline but also increases the chances of winning prizes throughout the promotion.
He explained that individuals can open an ACTB account without an initial deposit but are encouraged to begin saving immediately after opening the account. Customers can also make deposits at any ACTB branch nationwide.
Reflecting on the success of the first promotion, Mr. Sesay revealed that 18 customers won various prizes during the 2024 Save and Win Promotion, with Madam Easther Finda Dauda emerging as the grand prize winner of a brand-new vehicle.
Providing further details of the new promotion, Rockslyn Alwyn Findlay, Head of Communications at ACTB, said the campaign officially commenced on 6 July 2026 and will conclude in January 2027.
He explained that customers who save a minimum of Le10,000 every month will qualify for the monthly electronic draws, where they stand the chance of winning exciting prizes including DStv decoders, refrigerators, Smart TVs, microwave ovens, four-burner gas cookers, Bluetooth speakers, and iPhone 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17 Pro Max smartphones.
Mr. Findlay said customers who consistently save at least Le10,000 every month throughout the promotion period until January 2027 will automatically qualify for the grand prize draw.
The ultimate winner will drive away with a brand-new Changan CS55 Plus, valued at approximately US$25,000. The vehicle represents a significant upgrade from the grand prize offered during the first edition, which was valued at approximately US$13,000.
He further assured customers that all draws would be conducted electronically to ensure transparency, fairness and credibility.
Mr. Findlay also clarified that ACTB employees are not eligible to participate in the promotion, underscoring the bank’s commitment to maintaining integrity and fairness throughout the exercise.
The launch of the second edition of the Save and Win Promotion reaffirms ACTB’s commitment to rewarding customer loyalty, promoting financial inclusion and encouraging Sierra Leoneans to develop sustainable saving habits while providing opportunities to win valuable prizes.
