CID Officers Haunt Abraham Be Sesay …For Alleged Conspiracy, Incitement & Other Offences

A notice from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) dated 5th May 2019, indicates that one Abraham Be Sesay popularly known as AB Sesay, Constituency Chairman of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party who is a resident of 32 Syke Street, Freetown is now a wanted man by the police.
According to the notice issued out by the police, Abraham Be Sesay is to answer questions on the allegations of conspiracy, incitement, riotous conduct and disorderly behaviour.
That based on report and intelligence received by the police, Abraham Be Sesay is the mastermind who led a protest together with other angry youths against the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) government after the 2018 elections.
Investigations conducted by the New Age revealed that Abraham Be Sesay is a staunch supporter of the APC who has worked tirelessly to galvanize the support base of the APC.
Investigations also unearthed that his criticism of activities of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) especially his expressed views on corruption and bad governance was frowned at by supporters of the SLPP and the government.
That the police launched an investigation to arrest people who are believed to have been involved in planning and participating in a protest which was organized contesting the elections results which the APC described as not credible.
The New Age was reliably informed that some arrests were made but that Abraham Be Sesay and others received a tip off leading to their disappearance before being arrested.
Since his disappearance, Abraham Be Sesay has gone into hiding and his whereabout remains unknown.
