Police Pursue IPAM Student For Disgraceful Homosexual Event

The Sierra Leone Police have intensified their search for Emile Victor Claudius Davies, a third-year IPAM student, after he allegedly fled from a police raid on what authorities described as “a shameful homosexual gathering” on 16th August 2025.
The event, hosted at the Hill Valley Hotel in Freetown, was reportedly arranged by a transgender person known locally as Jiva, who invited numerous LGBTQ individuals to what police sources say devolved into “open homosexual behaviour.”
Assistant Superintendent A B Sesay, who led the operation, said that many participants were arrested but Emile Davies and several others managed to escape. Police claim he is “well known for unmanly behaviour” and is believed to be a close friend of the organizer.
Officers subsequently raided Emiles’ home at 4 Wright Lane, Fourah Bay Road, but he was not present. Police issued a warrant of arrest and later published his name on a wanted list appealing for information, calling the student “a disgrace to the nation’s moral fabric.”
A relative of Emile told the New Age Newspaper that the homosexual people detained from the raid “have suffered torture in police detention,” prompting concerns about the treatment of those still being pursued.
It was disclosed that the community and police are still looking for those who escaped and that if seen should faced similar action.
