Hon. Mohamed Shebora Bangura Sworn In as MP For Kambia District

After the passing of late Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma, Hon. Mohamed Shebora Bangura of Kambia District has been sworn in to represent the people of Thonko Limba in the Sixth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone.
Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas Esq. confirmed the swearing in after receiving official notification from the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone, in line with the 1991 Constitution.
Pursuant to Section 83 of the 1991 Constitution and Standing Order 1(A), the Acting Clerk of Parliament, Gilbert Bosco N’habay, administered the Oath of Office to Hon. Bangura during a brief ceremony in Parliament.
After taking the Oath, Hon. Bangura received copies of the Standing Orders and the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone to guide his participation in parliamentary debates and proceedings.
Speaker Thomas congratulated the new MP on his election and encouraged him to learn from his senior colleagues to become an effective representative of his constituents.
He further emphasized the importance of punctuality and discipline, reminding all members that parliamentary sittings commence at 10:00am prompt. The swearing in marks the start of Hon. Bangura’s tenure as the representative of Thonko Limba, Kambia District.
