Speaker of Parliament Congratulates Newly Appointed Clerk of Parliament

The Speaker of Parliament Sengpoh Solomon Thomas has officially introduced Mr. Karmoh K. Conteh as the new Clerk of Parliament, highlighted his extensive experience in both legislative and executive functions.
Mr. Conteh previously served as Director of Legislative Affairs in Parliament and also held a position at State House office of the President.
That his return to Parliament was personally requested by the Speaker due to his proven competence and deep understanding of parliamentary procedures.

The Speaker underscored the importance of the Clerk’s presence during parliamentary sittings, describing the role as critical for providing advice and maintaining accurate records of proceedings. Mr. Conteh is expected to serve as the principal advisor to both the Speaker and the House, ensuring that all legislative processes are documented and executed correctly.
Given his prior experience within the Executive Branch, Mr. Conteh is expected to play a significant role in improving communication and compliance between Parliament and the Executive Arm of government.
The Speaker expressed confidence that Mr. Conteh will help expedite the implementation of parliamentary directives and foster better coordination across branches.
