Police declare November 26 Escaped Prisoner Wanted

By Donald Wolfe
Mohamed Abu Bakarr Kamara has been declared wanted by the police after it was reported that he is one of the prisoners who escaped during the November 26 attempted coup jail break.
Kamara was one of those arrested and detained after the August 10, 2022 riots that claim the lives of many, including police officers, in connection to the protests.
It was reported that Kamara was arrested shortly after the August 10 protests when he was driving around Up-gun at Ross Road and subsequently detained at the Pademba Road Correctional Centre for being part of the violent protests.
Kamara is a known supporter of the current main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), whose supporters and sympathizers are generally believed to have started the protests in many parts of the country.
The police have put out a wanted public notice for any information that may lead to the arrest of prisoners who escaped after the November 26 jail break.
As at press time, the whereabouts of Kamara is not known. And some say they do not know whether Kamara is alive or dead because of the extra judicial killings that ensued, a backlash by the security forces regarding the failed coup to overthrow President Bio.
