Wanted for November 26 Attempted Coup

By Joseph Kanu
Amadu Wurie Bah, a youth who was arrested for alleged involvement in the violent August 10 protests, but was later released, has again been implicated in the failed November 26, 2023 coup.
Bah, widely known to oppose the current ruling SLPP regime, has been a target, as the security forces, especially the police, are still looking for him in connection to the November 26 coup to oust this government.
One of Bah’s neighbours, who does not want his name to be published, said Bah disappeared after armed police and soldiers raided their neighbouhood, inquiring about his whereabouts.
Many have been arrested and some even killed in connection with the November 26 coup attempt; and because of his support for the current main opposition APC party, Bah has been in confrontation with the police and some perceived SLPP supporters.
As at press time, the whereabouts of Bah is not known; and some of his acquaintances say they don’t know whether Bah is still alive because of the extra-judicial killings regarding the aftermath of the failed November 26 coup.
