Under The Leadership Of DG Musayeroh… SLCAA Capacitates Two Staff On Aircraft Maintenance

The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) has successfully funded a one year six months training for two staff; Michealla Theophilla Clemens and Sao Amara Sulleh at the Ethiopian Aviation University (EAU), Addis Ababa.
With this bold move, the SLCAA has now positioned itself as an enviable institution within the Sub- region in the Aviation sector.
According to the Director General of the SLCAA plans are aloof to sponsor more staff to develop their skills as that is the way to go.
As she puts it ” we desire to sponsor more staff for such trainings provided the funds are available, adding, “the training could not have come at a better time when Sierra Leone is yearning for more in the Aviation industry.”
This has also helped the SLCAA to now strategically use their expertise to deliver quality results as the country moves towards being removed from the Air Safety black list.
This is no mean feat, as it indicates another giant move undertaken under the directorship of Musayeroh Barrie at the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA).
Two of the Authority’s staff who have completed the training as Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
Michaela Theophilla Clemens was certified with an Aircraft Maintenance License Technician No. MM 9501 whilst Amara Sulleh was awarded No. MM 9499 in lieu with the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Regulations and present ICAO Annex 1 of the Chicago Convention governing personnel licensing and Aviation practices globally.
According to the Director General Madam Musayeroh Barrie she is proud to announce that two of her staff members have successfully completed the Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) program at the Ethiopian Aviation University. This achievement, she noted marks a significant milestone in enhancing the Authority’s technical capacity and reinforcing Sierra Leone’s commitment to aviation safety and international standards.
The DG said their expertise will contribute to the “continued growth” and global trust in Sierra Leone’s aviation sector.
