Mariama Kamara, who was arrested 18th August 2022 after she was caught pants down in a romantic relationship with her lover, Nyanda Brima, at Kpetema Village- Moyamba District in the Southern Province of the Republic of Sierra Leone, has not been seen since she escaped from custody.
Mariama was caught in the forest, half a mile from the village stream; and her lover, Nyanda, managed to escape.
A relative of Mariama told this medium that Mariama was accused of committing an act of lesbianism, which is against the law of the state, and is punishable by law; and Mariama is also a non-initiate of the local Bondo society- the female circumcision rite, a reason she was dragged to the village chief who informed the police.

It is reported that a thorough search was made for Mariama by some youths of the village, together with the police.
Mariama, who has been declared her wanted by the police, has not been seen since she escaped.
