Distancing itself from the comments made by Kadiru Kaikai, the SLPP strongly condemned the expressions made by Kaikai and described it as reckless and dangerous statements that those not represent views and aspirations of members of the party.
“Threats of violence and war have no place in a civilized and democratic society and must be unequivocally denounced,” the Party stated.
That the safety and security of the citizens is of utmost importance to the SLPP and that any attempt to disrupt peace and stability will not be tolerated by the Party.
“The leadership of the Sierra Leone People’s Party has resolved to suspend the membership of Mr. Kadiru Kaikai with immediate effect pending the outcome of disciplinary hearing for further action,” the Party stated.
The party called on all party executives to disassociate themselves from Kadiru Kaikai and all his activities and warned Kaikai of legal actions should he use the name of party to make statement in any public forum.
