Bio Spends Over Le832 Billion In 5Yrs

As the President of neighbouring Liberia Joseph Boakai took a 40% pay cut, President Julius Maada Bio is seen spending money for fun.
Liberian President cuts down his salary in solidarity with the Liberian Populace while his Sierra Leonean Counterpart keeps spending money just like that.
Sierra Leoneans don’t exactly know what their President is earning but publication of expenses by the Office of the President in the Annual Financial Statement of the government of Sierra Leone has seen several expenses of President Bio in three different names for the past five years.
Under the name “State House and State Lodge Expenses,” Le11.185 Billion was spent 2019; Le5.035 Billion in 2020, Le125.278 Billion in 2021 and Le236,671 Billion in 2022 which brings it to a total of 377, 170 Billion Leones in four years.
Under “Expenses Office of President” Le52, 846 Billion was dished out in 2019; Le63,241 Billion in 2020; Le56,028 Billion in 2021 and Le232, 672 Billion in 2022 which brings it to a total 404,787 Billion Leones.
Under the rubric “Special Warrant” to Office of President, in 2019 the Office of President Bio received Le331 Million; Le2,156 Billion in 2020; Le14,739 Billion in 2021 and Le23,672 Billion in 2022 was dished to the President amounting to Le50,918 Billion.
The concern is why is so much money being disbursed to the President of Sierra Leone and for what purpose while majority of the people are leaving in penury.
