Toxic Working Atmosphere At Leone Rock Metal Group … Australian Project Manager of BCM Implicated
Reports reaching NEW AGE has revealed that there is a toxic working atmosphere in Tonkolilli Mining Site caused by the Australian Project Manager of BCM, a subsidiary of Leone Rock Metal Group.
That another company operating in the site, NS Logistics reported that they can’t tolerate the insulting of local Sierra Leonean employees by the Project Manager on the mining site, Ken Walters.
That the Project Manager Ken Walters is insulting Sierra Leoneans which is unprofessional to the highest degree.
Although Ken Walters Status in the country is temporary with questionable legal and tax status like most foreign experts of Leone Rock, he is in the business of insulting local staff.
Recently, the Minister of Labour, Mohamed Rahman Swaray visited the Leone Rock Metal Group Site and found that the local work force has been treated badly by the company with allegations of discrimination and racism levied against Leone Rock.
Some of the staff of the company don’t even have protected gears to carry out their work while others have been molested either sexually or otherwise.
When New Age contacted LRMG for comment on the allegations of the BCM Project Manager, they promised to give contact for BCM but failed to provide any contact.
